This inter-generational program is designed to assist families who are home-schooling their children in faith formation. All families in the program gather four Sundays during the school year after the 11 a.m. Mass for a meal, prayer, and participate in a variety of activities and faith experiences. Any family who chooses the "Home School" faith formation option is required to attend these seasonal sessions. We begin with lunch provided by teams of participant families. We conclude around 2:00 pm. Specific dates are announced for each year.
Students in this program receive their textbooks at the first session which are completed at home in the family environment. Student’s texts are checked at each session for progress and again upon completion. All books must be completed and turned in to the Religious Ed. Office for inspection before the student can be "promoted" to the next grade so that diocesan standards may be met for reception of the sacraments. Please be aware of the diocesan requirement; that students complete two years of Religious education before being allowed to be presented as a candidate for First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation.
This program is open for ANY members of the parish (individuals or families) who wish to have an enriching faith experience in a group setting.
